Congress Stamp

February 2007

You might have already seen our special Eurofedop XIth Congress stamp on one of the many envelopes we have sent you! All the future documents related to the congress will be marked by this stamp. So, any new information on the XIth Congress will be easy to recognise.

Paperless congress

February 2007

However, do not forget that the Congress 2007 will be a ‘paperless congress’ so documents will also be sent to you by e-mail. In March, we will have a test run with the computers, the shared server and the congress documents. This modern way of organisation will allow the participants of our Congress to work much more interactively.

Introduction of New Member States

February 2007

Organisations coming from the new member states will introduce their countries and organisations to us in a very special way! They will be present when all participants and guests enter the Jean Monnet Centre on 18.04.2007. Our organisations from Hungary, Slovakia, Malta, Estonia, Lithuania and Romania are currently preparing this.

Activities’ reports and action programmes

February 2007

The representatives of the Trade Councils have worked hard to produce an overview of their activities during the past five years. As requested, some have come forward with excellent PowerPoint presentations, nice images or even videos! Some Trade Council meetings will still take place before the congress. This will provide an opportunity to finalise all preparations and perfect the presentations.

Programme on Saturday 21.04.2007

February 2007

You cannot have missed the announcement of the programme we are organising on the Saturday after the congress! For those who will stay in Luxemburg over the weekend, we will organise a trip on Saturday 21.04.2007. The trip includes a visit to an exposition called ‘Retour de Babel’. This exposition deals with migration and diversity and is organised within the framework of Luxemburg Cultural Capital of Europe 2007.

Furthermore we will visit the legendary town of Schengen, small but well known because of the famous Schengen Treaty (signed in 1985). There will also be time left for shopping in Remich, before the bus brings us back to the hotels. Registration forms can be found on this website. You can also contact the office at peggy.vanlierde@eurofedop.org or +32 (0) 2 230 38 65.
