| Even within Europe the equal treatment of men and women is still not evident.A guarantee for the defence of the interests of working women is also not explicitly offered by all trade union organizations.Nevertheless our Trade Council is doing pioneer's work and leaves no taboo undiscussed at its sessions.In addition, our members participate actively in seminars and congresses, so that our voice is heard all over Europe. However, there is a need for women who are interested in trade union work, as lots of questions and problems are far from being solved. |
Thus we try to promote the discussion and suggest solutions on the following items: - What is the social position of women in relation to sexual harassment at work ? - What are the problems of women with the introduction of new technologies as regards legal labour regulations and health ? - We advocate equal training possibilities for men and women. - We support and promote positive actions for women in the third world. |
